Yes, KidKit is free to start! The free tier includes tracking for 1 child, 10 clothing items, and 3 custom areas. Perfect for trying it out. Premium unlocks unlimited children, items, and areas, plus advanced features like item grouping, photos, and more. Premium subscriptions are managed directly through Apple's App Store.
What devices does KidKit support?
KidKit is currently available for iPhone and iPad running iOS 15 or later. The app is built with SwiftUI for a native iOS experience with support for Light/Dark Mode and accessibility features like VoiceOver and Dynamic Type.
How does real-time synchronization work?
KidKit uses WebSocket technology powered by Fastly Edge Computing to provide instant updates. When Mom drops off a jacket at daycare and marks it in the app, Dad at home and Grandma at her house see the update immediately. No manual refresh needed!
Is my family's data secure?
Absolutely. KidKit uses Sign in with Apple for secure authentication. Your data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and stored securely on Fastly's edge computing infrastructure. We collect minimal data - only what's needed for the app to work. The app includes a comprehensive Privacy Manifest compliant with Apple's requirements.
How does subscription sharing work in families?
Only one family member needs to have an active Premium subscription. All family members automatically share the same subscription tier and have access to all Premium features. If you join a family that already has a subscriber, your individual subscription will be automatically cancelled (you'll still have access through the family subscription). This ensures families don't pay multiple subscription fees.
